My journey to Colorado began in the Midwest. While growing up in Springfield, I dreamed of being a physician. To reach this goal, I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed my medical school and residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. As I received training in OB/GYN, I found that developing long-term relationships with patients and the challenge of surgery fit my interests perfectly.

After residency, I decided Colorado was the place for me. I grew up vacationing here and thought why not “vacation” every day. My husband and two girls love living here in Colorado and are sure we will never leave. We enjoy the outdoors; hiking, skiing, mountain and road biking. What a great place to live where you can work hard and play hard.

The diversity of OB/GYN is something I enjoy. As an obstetrician, I find it gratifying to care for all types of obstetrical patients, from uncomplicated to high-risk pregnancies and twin pregnancies. It is such a joy to help a family bring their baby safely into the world. As a gynecologist, being able to listen to a woman and appropriately manage her medical needs, whether with surgery or medications is professionally rewarding. It is a pleasure caring for women of all ages, starting with teenagers, through the reproductive years, and into menopause. Helping women to feel better and stay better is my priority.
